Châteauneuf-du-Pape!

I got a Châteauneuf-du-pape for Christmas. This wine is my favorite. My beat 'cépage' are : grenache and Syrah. I also like some Austalian wines also made with Syrah. This bottle I got have a strange design and a long history.

History:Pére Anselme created in the 1950’s, in collaboration with glass craftsmen and ceramists this original bottle which shape reminds the Rhône Valley vine plants. This wine is non vintaged because it is a blend of our best "cuvées" from different vintages. Therefore the constant high quality from one year to another explains its worldwide success: it is one of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape bottles the most sold in the World.

Grape Varieties:80% Grenache brings roundness.
7% Syrah brings color and aromas.
7% Mourvédre brings tannins and ageing capacity.
6% Cinsault brings finesse.

I will try it this thursday. Usually I always get 'Domaine du vieux Lazaret'. This will be a change. Since Lazaret is more expensive I don't drink it often. I also wanna get my japanese wine. My husband parent's are suppose to send it to me. I can't wait!!!!!
