Beaujolais Mommessin 2009

1 : Beaujolais, Petit Fruit Rouges, Mommessin 2009

Red wine. Really nice fresh grape aroma. Little dry but no acidity. Taste a bit like it was cut with water.

6/10

Vintage : 2009

Producer : Mommessin

Cépage : 100% Gamay

 Country : France

Region : Burgundy

App.: Beaujolais Nouveau

It was a really nice wine and also my first 'Beaujolais' try. It's a really weak wine. I don't mean that it's lower than 12% alcohol but you don't feel any complexity. It's a bit like drinking cheap Italian wine from a conbini store but little bit cut with water. I will try the 2010 next week from the same producer to see if the cépage, who have a short life in a bottle, is better when really new.
